I Have an Opinion

A light-hearted take on opinionated people — and how to deal with them without losing your sanity.

🎉 This Happened at a Party…

This happened at a party.

I was happily sipping clear water when a gentleman walked up to me and said:

“Hey, how come you don’t drink? You know whiskey is actually good for the heart. And by the way, where do you even get your protein from if you don’t eat non-vegetarian food? Also, egg is vegetarian, you know!”

😄 You Know These People

No — I’m not going to ask if you know such people.

Because you do.

They’re everywhere — at parties, at workplaces, near your home.

And if you look carefully into the mirror… you might just find one there too.

We are all opinionated.

🧠 Understanding Opinionated People

Opinionated people are not bad people. They’re just loudly passionate.

They are people with:

  • Strong Belief
  • Strong voices and
  • Strong WIFI connections

🎯 What They Really Want

They want to be heard.

They may sound defensive, but what they’re really saying is — “Please tell me I matter.”

📱 Android vs iPhone — Not a Phone Fight

When someone argues Android vs iPhone, it’s rarely about technology. It’s about identity.

🛠️ So… How Do We Deal With Them?

A simple statement like “It’s raining today” can turn into an environmental seminar.

  • ✔ Don’t take it personally
  • ✔ Keep your cool
  • ✔ Seek to understand more than to be understood
  • ✔ Treat opinions as honest feedback
  • ✔ Find common ground

💛 The Final Thought

Kill them with kindness.

Because your response defines you — not your reaction.

And yes… that itself is my opinion.
